Clone Host Grade Applications
Monoclonal Rat Ascites B IP FC
The alpha 5 beta 1 integrin mediates cell adhesion and migration on fibronectin, a glycoprotein critical for normal vertebrate embryonic development. Indirect evidence reported to date suggests that this receptor also functions in the deposition of fibronectin matrices.
Catalog #I7661-35S
ApplicationsSuitable for use in Immunoprecipitation and Flow Cytometry. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended DilutionFlow Cytometry: 1:100 or 10ul per 10e6 cells.
Does not detect VLA-5 (alpha 5 beta 1) in Western blot and tissue samples. Inhibition of VLA-5 mediated cell adhesion to fibronectin is generally achieved at 10ul per 100ul of cell suspension containing 10e6 cells.
Immunoprecipitation: 5ul of BMA5 in no more than 500ul cell lysate (<0.5% triton X-100 recommended).
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
