The alpha 5 beta 1 integrin mediates cell adhesion and migration on fibronectin, a glycoprotein critical for normal vertebrate embryonic development. Indirect evidence reported to date suggests that this receptor also functions in the deposition of fibronectin matrices.

ApplicationsSuitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry, Induction of homotypic aggregation and Inhibition of adhesion to fibronectin. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended DilutionsImmunoprecipitation: 1-2ug
Immunohistochemistry: 1:50. Paraformaldehyde fixation; paraffin-embedded, PFA fixed tissue in monkey with HIER.
Induction of homotypic aggregation: 100pg/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
