| CD61, a 105kD membrane glycoprotein, is a member of Integrin family expressed on megakaryocytes, platelets and their precursor cells. It is a beta3-integrin subunit consisting of an N-terminal signal peptide, a transmembrane domain and a cysteine-rich cytoplasmic domain. CD61 is a functional subunit of platelet integrin GPIIb:IIIa receptor complex, fibronectin receptor and Vitronectin receptor. It mediates platelet aggregation, platelet spreading, clot retraction, microvesiculation, and hemostasis and also functions as a receptor for fibrinogen, fibronectin, Von Willebrand factor, Osteopontin and Vitronectin. | | | Catalog # | I7661-42F2 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry.
