| INFg (Interferon-g) is a cytokine that is produced by TH2-like CD4 + T cells. It is engaged in inflammatory response against invading infectious agents. Overreaction to infectious disease and overproduction of INFg could lead to immunopathology, a process very similar to autoimmune response. Therefore, anti-INFg can play a role in limiting the intensity and/or duration of toxic immune response. This is seen as anti-INFg antibodies can interfere with the generation of cytotoxic lymphocytes. In another case, anti-IFNg has also been used to reverse cancer cachexia. | | | Catalog # | I7661-66E | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA.
