| Mature Interferon gamma (IFN-gamma) is a homodimeric cytokine produced primarily by T-lymphocytes and natural killer cells. IFN-gamma has many immunoregulatory and proinflammatory activities. It binds to IFN-gamma receptors present on virtually all cell types. The 17kD mature bovine IFN-gamma shares 97% aa sequence identity with ovine IFN-gamma and 77%-80% with canine, equine, and porcine IFN-gamma.
