| The presence or absence of distinct cytokines determines the quality and quantity of the immune response following antigenic challenge. Immune responses range from cellular to humoral or antibody-mediated immunity. IFN-g is associated with cellular immunity. By convention, cytokines promoting a cell-dominated response, like IFN-g, are now known as type 1 cytokines. T helper 1 cells (Th1) are considered the main sources for IFN-g and related cytokines, providing help to different arms of the immune response. The ability to investigate cytokine expression at the single cell level, by combining the power of flow cytometry and intracellular cytokine staining reagents, is likely to offer new insights into immunity. | | | Catalog # | I7662-17Z | | Applications | Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry.
