Interleukin-1B (IL-1beta) is a potent immuno-modulator which mediates a wide range of immune and inflammatory responses including the activation of B and T cells. Human IL-1beta is a 17kD protein containing 153 amino acid residues.

Applications	Suitable for use in ELISA and Neutralization. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions	ELISA: Suitable for use as the capture antibody in sandwich ELISA for measuring mouse IL-1b levels using recombinant mouse IL-1b as the standard. Measured IL-1b in mice with a detection range between 10pg/ml-3ng/ml after zymosan induced inflammation.
	Neutralization: Neutralization of the biological activity of IL-1b as demonstrated in an in vivo mouse model.
	Optimal dilution to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
