Interleukin-2 (IL-2) is a potent lymphoid cell growth factor which exerts its biological activity primarily on T cells. Recombinant Rat IL-2 is a 15.3kDa protein containing 134 amino acid residues.

Stability	The lyophilized protein is stable for a few weeks at room temperature, but best stored at -20°C. Reconstituted IL-2 should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C.

Reconstitution	We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution in water to a concentration of 0.1–1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for future use.
Biological Activity	The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of murine CTLL-2 cells is < 0.4ng/ml, corresponding to a speci c activity of > 2.5 x 106 units/mg.
