UV spectroscopy at 280 nm using the absorbency value of 0.171 as the extinction coefficient for a 0.1% (1mg/ml) solution. This value is calculated by the PC GENE computer analysis program of protein sequences (IntelliGenetics). 2. Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a standard solution of IL3 as a Reference Standard. | | Biological Activity | The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of TF-1 cells is < 0.1 ng/ml, corresponding to a Specific Activity of 1 x 10e7 IU/mg. | | Storage and Stability | For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months.
