Specifications

Interleukin-3 Rat Recombinant Protein produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 140 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 16kD. The IL-3 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Protein ContentProtein quantitation was carried out by two independent methods: 1. UV spectroscopy at 280 nm using the absorbency value of 0.171 as the extinction coefficient for a 0.1% (1mg/ml) solution. This value is calculated by the PC GENE computer analysis program of protein sequences (IntelliGenetics). 2. Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a standard solution of IL3 as a Reference Standard.
Storage and StabilityFor long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
