Interleukin 6 (IL-6) is an important cytokine in the canine immune response, playing a role in haematopoiesis and in the acute-phase reaction against infections.

Biological ActivityIL-6 has an ED50 of 0.52-10pg/ml, determined by measuring the effect of recombinant feline IL-6 on murine 7TD1 cell proliferation.
ApplicationsSuitable for use in ELISA and In vitro applications. Other applications not tested.
Endotoxin Level:
Storage and StabilityLyophilized powder may be stored at -70°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with 100mM acetic acid. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer, protein carrier.
