Recombinant Interleukin-12p40 comprises a 306 amino acid fragment (23-328) corresponding to the mature Interleukin-12p40 chain protein and is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag.

	Active IL-12 is a p70 disulfide-linked dimer composed of p35 and p40 subunits. The protein is a pleiotropic cytokine produced primarily by antigen presenting cells and has multiple effects on T lymphocytes and natural killer cells in terms of stimulating cytotoxicity, proliferation, production of other cytokines and Th1 subset differentiation.
Applications	Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
	Recommended Dilution:
	Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability	For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
