Recombinant mouse IL-17 is a homodimeric, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing a total of 266aa and having a molecular weight of 29.9kD. The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined to be Ala-Ala-Ile-Ile-Pro. Contains less than 1% dimers and aggregates.

Biological ActivityThe ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent secretion of IL-6 by NIH 3T3 cells was found to be 1.0-10ng/ml.

Storage and StabilityLyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O, 0.1% HSA or BSA. Aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
