| IL-32 is a 234aa protein belonging to the cytokine family and contains a tyrosine sulfation site, three potential N-myristoylation sites, multiple putative phosphorylation sites and an RGD cell-attachment sequence. It plays a role in activation-induced cell death in T cells, production of TNFalpha from macrophage cells and in innate and adaptive immune responses. It induces various cytokines such as TNFA/TNF-alpha and IL-8 and activates typical cytokine signal pathways of NF-kappa-B and p38 MAPK. IL-32 appears to play a role in the pathogenesis of human rheumatoid arthritis and is a novel target in autoimmune diseases. It is expressed predominantly in lymphocytes and immune cells. | | | Catalog # | I8442-42 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
