| IL-32 is the name given to the NK4 transcript first reported in IL-2 activated T lymphocytes and natural killer cells. IL-32 induces the degradation of inhibitory kappaB and phosphorylation of mitogen activated protein p38 and has a possible role in inflammatory:autoimmune diseases like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Crohn's disease and psoriasis. The protein activates typical cytokine signal pathways of nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-kappaB) and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase. The protein contains a tyrosine sulfation site, three potential N-myristoylation sites, multiple putative phosphorylation sites, and an RGD cell-attachment sequence. It is selectively expressed in human lymphocytes. The gene encoding human IL-32 protein is localized on chromosome 16p13.3. | | | Catalog # | I8442-42Q | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA.
