| JAK1 is a member of the JAK (Janus kinase) family of protein tyrosine kinases including 4 family members JAK1, JAK2, JAK3, and TYK2 and which gets activated in response to a wide variety of polypeptide ligands. The protein has a C-terminal protein tyrosine kinase domain, an adjacent kinase-related domain and five further domains with aa similarity between members of the family extending towards the Nterminus. JAK1 plays important role in mediating signal transduction by the type I interferon receptor. JAK1 mutation functions as disease-modifying mutations in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) pathogenesis. Human JAK1 gene is mapped to chromosomal region 1p32.3-p31.3. | | | Catalog # | J0900-05H | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
