| JMJD3 is a 1641aa containing intracellular protein belonging to the UTX family with a JmjC domain. It has potent histone demethylase activity but is expressed mainly in an inducible and cell-type restricted fashion (histone H3K27-specific demethylase) and specifically demethylates 'Lys-27' of histone H3, thereby playing a central role in histone code. JMJD3 is known to play a central role in regulation of posterior development, by regulating HOX gene expression. It is induced by inflammatory stimuli which is mediated by NF-kappa-B and is involved in inflammatory response by participating in macrophage differentiation. | | | Catalog # | J7876-49B | | Applications | Suitable for use in ELISA.
