ApplicationsSuitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionImmunohistochemistry (Frozen, paraffin): 1:5-1:10 using the indirect method. Dilute immediately before use with PBS or Tris. Fixation with acetone for 10 minutes at RT is recommended for frozen sections. Heat pretreatment is recommended for paraffin sections.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

SpecificityRecognizes the 52.2kD and 45kD Keratin 8, 18. No significant reactivity with mouse or rat tissues. Reacts with all simple epithelia including glandular epithelium, e.g. thyroid, female breast, gastro-intestinal tract, respiratory tract and urogenital tract. Does not react with normal stratified squamous epithelium from any site. Transitional epithelium stains.
