Clone Host Grade Applications
Monoclonal Mouse Affinity Purified E IP IH
Keratin 8 belongs to the type B (basic) subfamily of high molecular weight keratins and exists in combination with keratin 18. Keratin 8 is primarily found in the non-squamous epithelia and is present in majority of adenocarcinomas and ductal carcinomas. It is absent in squamous cell carcinomas. Hepatocellular carcinomas are defined by the use of antibodies that recognize only cytokeratin polypeptides 8 and 18.
Catalog #K0199-10X
ApplicationsSuitable for use in Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended DilutionImmunoprecipitation (Use Protein G): 2ug/mg protein lystate.
Immunohistochemistry (formalin/paraffin) 0.5-1ug/ml for 30 at RT.
Note: Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Postive ControlMCF-7 pr A431 cells, skin, colon, lung or breast carcinoma
