| Keratin 14 belongs to the type A (acidic) subfamily of low molecular weight keratins and exists in combination with keratin 5. Keratin 14 has been studied as a prognostic marker in breast cancer. | | | Catalog # | K0199-17B | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilutions | Western Blot: 1ug/ml for 2 hours at RT. Detects a band at ~50kD. | | Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1:400-1:800 for 30 minutes at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 minutes followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Positive Control | A431 cells; Skin or Squamous cell carcinoma | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months.
