Keratin belongs to the type B (basic) subfamily of high molecular weight keratins and exists in combination with cytokeratin 18 (type A; acidic subfamily of low molecular weight keratins).

ApplicationsSuitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended DilutionImmunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:25-1:50 for 30 min. at RT.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires digestion of tissue sections with trypsin (1mg/ml PBS, pH 7.4) or pepsin (1mg/ml Tris-HCl, pH 2.0) for 10-15 min at RT.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
