| This antibody is useful in the identification of leukemias, plasmacytomas, and certain non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas. The most common feature of these malignancies is the restricted expression of a single light chain class. Demonstration of clonality in lymphoid infiltrates indicates that the infiltrate is clonal and therefore malignant. | | | Catalog # | L1185-07 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1:100-1:200 for 30 min at RT. Note: Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Positive Control | Tonsil | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 24 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Rabbit | | Source | Human | | Concentration | Not determined. | | Form | Supplied as liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.09% sodium azide, 0.2% BSA. Also supplied without BSA and sodium azide. See L1185-07X. | | Purity | Purified | | Immunogen | Lambda light chains purified from human Bence Jones proteins. Cellular Localization | | Specificity | Recognizes lambda light chains of human immunoglobulins, free lambda light chains and Bence-Jones lambda light chains (25kD). Does not crossreact with kappa light chains. Species Crossreactivity: Human, baboon, mouse and rat. Does not crossreact with canine. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
