| Laminin is a large (900kD) complex extracellular glycoprotein and a major component of the basement membrane. Laminin is thought to mediate the attachment, migration, and organization of cells into tissues during embryonic development by interacting with other extracellular matrix components. Laminin is composed of three different polypeptide chains; alpha, beta and gamma which are bound to each other by disulphide bonds into a cross-shaped molecule. Isoforms have been detected for all three chains. The different combinations of the alpha, beta and gamma chains give rise to at least 15 laminin heterotrimers. | | | Catalog # | L1225-01H | | Applications | | | Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
