Laminin is a large (900kD) complex extracellular glycoprotein and a major component of the basement membrane. Laminin is thought to mediate the attachment, migration, and organization of cells into tissues during embryonic development by interacting with other extracellular matrix components. Laminin is composed of three different polypeptide chains; alpha, beta and gamma which are bound to each other by disulphide bonds into a cross-shaped molecule. Isoforms have been detected for all three chains. The different combinations of the alpha, beta and gamma chains give rise to at least 15 laminin heterotrimers.

Applications	Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions	ELISA: 1:10,000 (0.2ug/ml)
	Western Blot: 5-10ug/ml
	Immunohistochemistry (Frozen/paraffin): 5-10ug/ml (human stomach carcinoma)
	Immunocytochemistry: 5-10ug/ml (HT1080 cells)
	Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Hybridoma	P3U1 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.
Storage and Stability	Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O, 0.1% sodium azide. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
