Leptin (anti-obesity protein) is the product of the ob (obese) gene in mice and is involved in appetite control. The gene is expressed in adipose tissue and it is thought to be important in the regulation of fat stores. Mice of ob/ob genotype develop a form of diabetes similar to type III (non-insulin dependent) diabetes.

Recommended Dilution	Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/ml

Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
