ApplicationsSuitable for use in ELISA, Double Radial Immunodiffusion and Immunoelectrophoresis. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionDouble Radial Immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony): Use a rosette arrangement with 10ul in 3mm diameter center well and 2ul serum samples (neat and serially diluted in 2mm diameter peripheral wells).
Immunoelectrophoresis: 120ul against 2ul serum or equivalent
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityLyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

ImmunogenPooled whole rabbit serum and partly purified serum fractions.
SpecificityRecognizes rabbit serum. Reacts with determinants exposed on the surface (SD) and the Fab portion of all intact immunoglobulins, with Fab or F(abí)2 subunits, and with free light chains of both types; This antiserum is not kappa or lambda chain specific. It does not react with any non-Ig protein in rabbit serum.
