Specifications

Human Macrophage-Derived Chemokine (MDC) is a unique member of the CC chemokine family. Human MDC is highly expressed in macrophages and in monocyte-derived dendritic cells, but not in monocytes, natural killer cells or several lines of epithelial, endothelial or fibroblast origin. Recombinant Human MDC is an 8kDa protein containing 67 amino acid residues.

Form Sterile-filtered solution, lyophilized without additives.
Stability The lyophilized protein is stable for a few weeks at room temperature, but best stored at -20°C. Reconstituted MDC should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C.
Purity 99% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC
Endotoxin 0.1ng/ug (1EU/ug).
Reconstitution Quick spin followed reconstitution in water to a concentration of 0.1-1mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for future use.
Biological Activity Determined by its ability to chemoattract human T cells using a concentration range of 10-100ng/ml.
