| MIP-1 alpha is a 7.8 kD protein containing 69 amino acid residues. It is part of the CC chemokine family and plays an important role in the inflammatory response of blood monocytes and tissue macrophages. | | | Catalog # | M1202-09 | | Source | E.coli | | Form | Sterile filtered solution, lyophilized without additives. | | Stability | The lyophilized protein is stable for a few weeks at room temperature but best stored at -20°C. Reconstituted MIP-1 alpha should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C. | | Purity | 98% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses. | | Endotoxin | 0.1ng/ug (1EU/ug). | | Reconstitution | Reconsitution in water to a concentration of 0.1–1.0mg/ml. | | Biological Activity | The biological activity of murine MIP-1 alpha was determined by a chemotaxis assay using mouse Balb/c splenocytes. Significant chemotaxis was achieved at a concentration of 100ng/ml. Murine MIP-1 alpha also shows significant chemotaxis at the same concentration using mouse Balb/C peripheral blood mononuclear cells. | | AA Sequence | APYGADTPTA CCFSYSRKIP RQFIVDYFET SSLCSQPGVI FLTKRNRQIC ADSKETWVQE YITDLELNA PubMed Link : MIP-1alpha+AND+mouse Country of Origin : USA | | Molecular Weight | 7.8kD | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
