| Rat macrophage inflammatory protein-1a (MIP-1a) is an 8.0kD protein containing 69 amino acid residues. It plays an important role in the inflammatory response of blood monocytes and tissue macrophages. | | | Catalog # | M1202-10 | | Source | E. coli | | Form | Lyophilized powder without additives. | | Stability | The lyophilized powder, though stable at room temperature, is best stored desiccated below 0°C. Reconstituted MIP-1a should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C. | | Purity | 95% by SDS-PAGE analysis and RP-HPLC analysis. | | Endotoxin | 0.1ng/ug | | Reconstitution | The lyophilized rat MIP-1a is soluble in water and most aqueous buffers. The lyophilized powder should be reconstituted in water to t a concentration of 100ng/ul. It is recommended that further dilutions be made into buffer containing carrier protein or medium containing serum. | | Biological Activity | Rat MIP-1a produces chemotaxis over a wide concentration range in an assay using rat peritoneal macrophages. Significant chemotaxis was achieved using a concentration of 200ng/ml. | | Concentration Range for most in vitro applications | 100ug/ul | | Molecular Weight | 8kD | | Source | Rat | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
