Specifications

MagDetect™ Proteomics beads are magnetic silica beads coated with C4, C8 or C18 alkyl groups, providing a reversed phase (RP) surface chemistry. The beads are an ideal tool for protein and peptide sample concentration, desalting and fractionation, and reduce sample complexity
Catalog #M2106-41
ApplicationsMagnetic silica particles with reversed phase chemistry on the surface (C4, C8 and C18 ).
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, store at 4°C. Do not freeze! Store beads in well closed vial and in upright position to prevent drying of the beads since this makes them more difficult to resuspend and may decrease their activity. Vortex bead suspension well before use. Beads are stable for at least 6 months.
Use of MagDetect™ Magnetic SeparatorsMagnetic separators are required to work with magnetic beads. MagDetect™ Separators work with all MagDetect™ products as well as all competitive magnetic beads on the market.
M2106-80, Magnetic Bead Separator 12+12 for MagDetect™ beads in 12x1.5ml and 12x 2ml tubes. M2106-81, Magnetic Bead Separator 96 well for MagDetect™ beads in microplate format. M2106-82, Magnetic Bead Separator, PCR Strip Adapter, MagDetect™ (use with M2106-81). PCR strip Adapter is placed on the 96 well Separator and is suitable for users with smaller sample throughput, preferring use of PCR tube strips over PCR plates.
