| MTAP (Methylthioadenosine phosphorylase) is important in polyamine metabolism and for the salvage of both adenine and methionine. It is involved in the metabolism of MeSAdo (methylthioadenosine), a by-product of the synthesis of the polyamines spermidine and spermine. MTAP is deficient in many cancers because the MTAP gene is co-deleted with the tumor suppressor p16. | | | Catalog # | M2344-97 | | Source | Recombinant human MTAP, aa2-end, with N-terminal GST tag, expressed in E. coli. | | Applications | Useful for the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling.
