| Thi antibody reacts with a 52kD protein (unglycosylated) and 57kD (glycosylated) species ofpro form of MMP-1 as well as 42kD (unglycosylated) and 47kD (glycosylated) active form of MMP-1. Matrix metalloproteinase (MMPs) are a family of closely related zinc-containing proteolytic enzymes, capable of degrading connective tissue components. MMP-1 appears to be associated with facilitating the tumor spread and invasion of esophageal and colorectal cancers and is associated with poor prognosis. Interstitial collagenase (MMP-1), 73kD gelatinase A/type IV collagenase (MMP-2) and 92kD gelatinase B/type IV collagenase (MMP-9) dissolve extracellular matrix and may initiate and promote angiogenesis. | | | Catalog # | M2420-02D | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry.
