Clone Host Grade Applications
Monoclonal Mouse Affinity Purified B IP
Matrix metalloproteinases (MMP) are proteolytic enzymes capable of degrading extracellular matrix. Stromelysin, a member of the matrix metalloproteinase family, demonstrates wide substrate specificity with the ability to degrade proteoglycan, fibronectin, laminin, casein, and the nonhelical region of collagen. The two forms of stromelysin (SL), types 1 (MMP-3) and 2 (MMP-10), share 82% sequence homology, but exhibit differences in cellular synthesis and inducibility by cytokines and growth factors in vitro.
Catalog #M2426-14X
ApplicationsSuitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionWestern Blot: 1-2ug/ml for 2 hours at RT
Immunoprecipitation (Native verified): 2ug/mg protein lysate. Use Protein A
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive ControlConditioned, serum-free medium from (TPA-treated) human large cell lymphoma U937 cells. Placenta. Bladder, breast, and ovarian carcinomas.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
