| MMP12 is a Metallopeptidase M10A type protease. MMP-12 degrads extracellular matrix components such as elastin and is involved in tissue remodeling processes. MMP12 is a proteolytic enzyme responsible for cleavage of plasminogen to angiotensin. Studies using animal models of acute and chronic pulmonary inflammatory diseases, have given evidences that MMP-12 is an important mediator of the pathogenesis of these diseases. | | | Catalog # | M2427-60B | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
