| MCM3 is a member of the highly conserved mini chromosome maintenance (MCM) family of proteins that are involved in the initiation and control of eukaryotic DNA replication. MCM proteins form a hexameric protein complex which is a key component of the pre-replication complex. Acetylation of MCM3 by MCM3 associated protein (MCM3AP) inhibits the initiation of DNA replication and cell progression. | | | Catalog # | M2749-31H | | This antibody can be blocked by the control peptide BLP040. | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Western Blot: 1:2,000-1:10,000 | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Goat | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in Tris-citrate/phosphate, pH 7.5, 0.09% sodium azide. | | Purity | Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | Synthetic peptide corresponding to a region within human MCM3 (locus link ID 4172). | | Specificity | Recognizes human minichromosome maintenance deficient 3 (MCM3). | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
