| Shows no crossreactivity with the human MDR3 product. Its epitope localizes in the extracellular amino terminal half of P-glycoprotein (at the third extracellular loop of the molecule). This epitope is resistant to formalin fixation and periodate oxidation1 and is different from those of other commonly known Mabs to P-glycoprotein, such as C219, JSB-1, and MRK16, which recognize an intracellular and extracellular epitope of P-glycoprotein, respectively. Detects soluble P-glycoprotein in the cultured media of viable adriamycin-resistant cells, whereas those of the drug-sensitive parent cells contain no detectable level of soluble P-glycoprotein.2 Soluble P-glycoprotein is also detected in extracellular fluids of cancer patients, such as malignant ascites and serum. The Mr of soluble P-glycoprotein is the same as that of membrane bound P-glycoprotein. | | | Catalog # | M2825-14B | | Applications | Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot.
