| MRP1 (also known as ABCC, GS-X, ABC29) functions as a multispecific organic anion transporter, with (oxidized) glutathione, cysteinyl leukotrienes, and activated aflatoxin B1 as substrates. This protein also transports glucuronides and sulfate conjugates of steroid hormones and bile salts. It also transports drugs and other hydrophobic compounds in presence of glutathione. | | | Catalog # | M2825-15A | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunostaining of cell suspensions and cytospin preparations, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot (180-195kD protein) and Immunohistochemistry (frozen tissue, and paraffin-embedded tissue sections after microwave treatment (3x3 min at 100°C in 0.01M citrate buffer)). | | Recommended Dilution | Immunohistochemistry: 1:20-1:50 | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG2a | | Clone No | 5F268 | | Host | Rat | | Concentration | Not determined | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.7% BSA, 0.1% sodium azide. | | Purity | Culture supernatant | | Immunogen | Bacterial fusion protein containing 168 aa (aa 192-360) in the amino proximal half of MRP1. | | | Specificity | Reacts with the internal epitope of MRP1 (aa238-247), a 1531aa protein, overexpressed in various human non-P-glycoprotein MDR tumor cell lines. Does not crossreact with human P-glycoprotein, MDR3 P glycoprotein or human cMOAT / MRP2 to MRP5. Species Crossreactivity: Human, mouse. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
