Mek6 / MAP kinase kinase 6 is a dual specificity kinase and activates MAP kinases like p38. Mek6 is activated by phosphorylation by Ask1. It is abundant in skeletal muscles and known to be involved in the signaling during stress activate response, osmotic shock and cytokine-mediated inflammation.
