Specifications

Clone Host Grade Applications
Polyclonal Rabbit Affinity Purified B
This gene is a member of the MER/AXL/TYRO3 receptor kinase family and encodes a transmembrane protein with two fibronectin type-III domains, two Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains, and one tyrosine kinase domain. Mutations in this gene have been associated with disruption of the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) phagocytosis pathway and onset of autosomal recessive retinitis pigmentosa (RP).
Catalog #M2995-02
ApplicationsSuitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Clone TypePolyclonal
HostRabbit
SourceHuman
Concentration~1mg/ml
FormTris-citrate/phosphate, pH 7 to 8
PurityPurified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
ImmunogenThe epitope recognized maps to a region between residues 200 and 250 of human c-mer proto-oncogene tyrosine kinase using the numbering given in SwissProt entry Q12866 (GeneID 10461).
SpecificitySpecies Crossreactivity: Human. Other species have not been tested. Reactivity with mouse MerTK/c-Mer is possible owing to conservation of sequence between this ortholog and human MerTK/c-Mer at the site to which the epitope maps.
