| Like their mammalian counterparts, avian MHC Class I molecules (also known as B-F antigens) consist of a highly polymorphic alpha-chain (Mr ~44kD) non-covalently bound to the invariant beta2-microglobulin subunit (Mr ~12kD). MHC Class I molecules are expressed on most nucleated cells where they present endogenously synthesized antigenic peptides to CD8+ T lymphocytes, which are usually cytotoxic T cells.1-3 | | | Catalog # | M3885-48A | | Applications | • Flow cytometry 1-3 | | • Immunoprecipitation 1-3 | | • Western blotting | | • Immunohistochemistry | | • Immunoaffinity chromatography | | Recommended Dilution | Flow Cytometry: 1ug/10e6 cells | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG1,k | | Clone No | 5K89 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Chicken | | Concentration | ~0.5mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.1% sodium azide. Conjugated to FITC. | | Purity | Purified | | Specificity | Recognizes a monomorphic epitope on avian MHC Class I molecules (Mr ~68kD). Also reacts with turkey MHC Class I. | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
