The major histocompatibility complex (MHC) is a cluster of genes that are important in the immune response to infections. In mice, this complex is referred to as the histocompatability 2 (H-2) region.

Recommended Dilution	Flow Cytometry: Neat-1:5; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul
	Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Hybridoma	X63 myeloma cells with spleen cells from C1D mice.
Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.

Specificity	Recognizes a monomorphic epitope on the mouse MHC class I antigen. The epitope recognized is conformation dependent and is reported to be phylogenetically conserved. Reactivity has been observed with some canine samples suggesting that this antibody may recognise a polymorphic epitope of canine MHC class 1. Species Crossreactivity: rat, guinea pig, sheep, bovine, porcine, human and hamster.
