| The major histocompatibility complex (MHC) is a cluster of genes that are important in the immune response to infections. In rats, this complex is referred to as the RT1 region. In mice, this complex is referred to as the H-2 region. | | | Catalog # | M3887-49M | | Applications | Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. | | Recommended Dilutions | Flow Cytometry: 1:50-1:100 Use 10ul to label 10e6 cells in 100ul. | | Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:50-1:100. Antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin section is required. Sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0 is recommended. | | Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections | | Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. | | Hybridoma | Spleen cells from immunized BALB/c mice were fused with cells of the NS1 mouse myeloma cell line. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Monoclonal | | Isotype | IgG1 | | Clone No | 3H440 | | Host | Mouse | | Source | Rat | | Concentration | ~1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.09% sodium azide. | | Purity | Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | Rat thymocyte membrane glycoprotein | | Specificity | Recognizes a monomorphic determinant of the rat I-A antigen present on B lymphocytes, dendritic cells, some macrophages and certain epithelial cells. Crossreacts with a polymorphic determinant on mouse strains of the H-2 haplotypes k and s. Analysis of recombinant mouse strains has mapped the OX-6 determinant to the H-2I-A region. Does not react with the rat BDIX strain due to a defect in RT1B expression. Species Crossreactivity: mouse | | | Important Note | This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological. |
