Soluble MHC class I antigens can be detected in the serum of humans and various animals and appear in the circulation shortly after liver transplantation. The precise role of these antigens is currently uncertain, but soluble MHC class I may be involved in immunomodulation. MHC class I is a dimmer composed of two polypeptide chains, an a chain (44kD) and a non-covalently associated protein, b2 microglobulin (12kD).

Recommended Dilutions	Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections

Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
