Mi-2 is a nuclear protein originally characterized as an autoantigen in the human connective tissue disease dermatomyositis. It is a member of the SNF2/RAD 54 family of helicases involved in chromatin remodeling associated with genome replication, expression and repair and chromosome segregation. Mi-2 was recently identified as a component of NURD, a nucleosome remodeling and histone deacetylase complex.

ApplicationsSuitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended DilutionWestern Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml detected Mi-2 in Hela nuclear extract.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Included Positive Antigen ControlH1838: HeLa Nuclear Extract. Use 20ug per lane for minigels.
HeLa nuclear extract was resolved by electrophoresis transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with anti-Mi-2 (0.5ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
