| Mi-2 is a nuclear protein originally characterized as an autoantigen in the human connective tissue disease dermatomyositis. It is a member of the SNF2/RAD 54 family of helicases involved in chromatin remodeling associated with genome replication, expression and repair and chromosome segregation. Mi-2 was recently identified as a component of NURD, a nucleosome remodeling and histone deacetylase complex. | | | Catalog # | M3888 | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested. | | Recommended Dilution | Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml detected Mi-2 in Hela nuclear extract. | | Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. | | Included Positive Antigen Control | H1838: HeLa Nuclear Extract. Use 20ug per lane for minigels. | | HeLa nuclear extract was resolved by electrophoresis transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with anti-Mi-2 (0.5ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | | CAS Number | n/a | | Clone Type | Polyclonal | | Isotype | IgG | | Host | Rabbit | | Source | Human | | Concentration | ~1mg/ml | | Form | Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.6, 0.07% sodium azide, containing 30% glycerol. | | Purity | Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography. | | Immunogen | Fusion protein corresponding to amino acid residues 474–970 of human Mi-2. | | Specificity | Recognizes human Mi-2 at 218kD and additional proteins at 150, 80, 46, 36kD.
