| The cytokine Macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) has been identified to be secreted by the pituitary gland and the monocyte/macrophage and to play an important role in endotoxic shock. MIF has the unique property of being released from macrophages and T cells in response to physiological concentrations of glucocorticoids. The secretion of MIF is tightly regulated and decreases at high, anti-inflammatory steroid concentration. | | | Catalog # | M3895-07L | | Source | Recombinant corresponding to aa1-115 of human Macrophage MIF expressed in | | E. coli (NP_002406). | | Sequence MPMFIVNTNV PRASVPDGFL SELTQQLAQA TGKPPQYIAV HVVPDQLMAF GGSSEPCALC SLHSIGKIGG AQNRSYSKLL CGLLAERLRI SPDRVYINYY DMNAANVGWN NSTFA | | Molecular Weight | 12kD (115 aa) | | Applications | Suitable for use in Western Blot.
