Murine anti-mitochondria monoclonal antibody produces a "spaghetti"-like staining pattern in the cytoplasm of normal and malignant human cells. It can be used to stain the mitochondria in cell or tissue preparations and can be used as a marker of the mitochondria in subcellular fractions. This monoclonal antibody is part of a new panel of reagents which recognize subcellular organelles or compartments of human cells. These markers may be useful in identification of these organelles in cells, tissues and biochemical preparations.

Applications	Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilution	Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml for 2 hours at RT.
	Immunohistochemistry:(formalin/paraffin) 1-2ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.
	Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
