Morphine is a highly potent opiate analgesic drug and is the principal active agent in opium. Morphine acts directly on the CNS to relieve pain and is one of the most popular analgesics for the control of severe pain. Morphine is a highly addictive substance, both psychologically and physically. The psychological dependence associated with morphine addiction is complex and protracted. Psychological withdrawal from morphine is a very long and painful process (1).

Recommended Dilution	Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability	May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
