| This protein is found exclusively on oligodendrocytes and myelin in the central nervous system (CNS). Myelin is produced by oligodendrocytes in the CNS and Schwann cells in the peripheral nervous system (PNS). Defining the differences between CNS and PNS myelin may provide insights into the process of myelination and the pathogenesis of certain idiopathic diseases involving myelin such as multiple sclerosis, certain leukodystrophies, and other myelinopathies. On de-myelination, immunoreactivity for MOSP, like MBP, is lost. | | | Catalog # | M9758-07A | | Applications | Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Not recommened for use in Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. | | Recommended Dilutions | Immunohistochemistry: 1:1000-1:5000 | | Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. | | Storage and Stability | May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
