Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein (MOG) is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and is expressed exclusively in the central nervous system (CNS). MOG protein constitutes only 0.01-0.5% of the CNS myelin proteins, has mass of 27kD, and is located in the outermost layer of myelin sheath. Human MOG is able to induce autoantibody production and relapsing-remitting neurological disease causing extensive plaque-like demyelination. Autoantibody response to human MOG has been observed in induced experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) in C57/BL6 mice, Lewis and DA rats.

ApplicationsSuitable for use in Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionWestern Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml
Immunoprecipitation: 3-5ug/extract from 10e7 cells
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
