Myeloperoxidase is a lysosomal enzyme found in myeloid cells that metabolize most of the hydrogen peroxide generated by activated phagocytes. It is in all myeloid cells including mature granulocytes, neutrophil granulocytes and monocyterin blood in precursors of granulocytes in the bone marrow and in Kupffer cells of the liver. Myeloperoxidase antibodies are superior markers to myeloperoxidase mRNA whose levels decrease with cell maturation and are not detectable from the myelocyte stage onwards. This antibody will be helpful in identifying tissues of myeloid origin.

Recommended DilutionImmunohistochemistry: 1:75-1:150 for 1 hr at RT

Storage and StabilityLyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
